Irish American Heritage Center - Tara Club Senior Group

Chicago Irish Immigrant Support has been successfully running senior groups at the Irish American Heritage Center for 4 years. The north side group, the Tara Club meets every second Thursday between 10am and noon.

 

These groups offer an opportunity for socializing with old and new friends while also offering a varied program of expert guest speakers on educational, cultural, and general interest topics. In addition to the Tara Club meetings, we also host a wide range of activities. With so much on offer, there is bound to be an event to interest you.

Golden Diners: Seniors luncheon Thursdays after the Tara Club Group Meeting!

Seniors, come by today and on every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the Golden Diners Lunch Program.

Folks, if your parents or grandparents are seniors and live near the Irish American Heritage Center, let them know about this program!

The Golden Diners Program provides a hot lunch for people 60 years old and over Tuesdays, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from 12:30-2pm. You can register the first day at the program or by calling the IAHC. There is a suggested donation of $1.50 per meal that goes to the City of Chicago.

Stop by for a hot meal and warm conversation. For more information, to register or volunteer, call the Center at 773-282-7035 .

Gaelic Park - Emerald Club Senior Group

The Emerald Club meets every second Wednesday  (September thru June) at Gaelic Park. We run educational and cultural events where we are joined by experienced professionals who share their knowledge and expertise with us.


The Emerald Club is comprised of a lively group of seniors who enjoy the group meetings not only as a means of entertainment and acquiring useful information but also as an opportunity to socialize with old and new friends.

 


 

Meetings always run from 10am until noon and refreshments are served. Be sure to come along to see what’s on offer. Click on the light green lines on the Calendar above to learn more about the upcoming senior events at Gaelic Park.

Chicago Irish Immigrant Support is involved in many ongoing activities and events throughout the Chicagoland area. These include: fundraisers for the organization, marching in the St. Patrick's Day Parades, Golf Outings and appearances at the Irish American Heritage Center and Gaelic Park Events.  Click on the bright blue line for these Events.
